The Oaks Early Learning Academy is a childcare & early education program for children ages 1-5. Although it is located in the Oaks at Durkeeville community, it is open to Public Housing residents and to the general public. The Oaks ELA accepts childcare vouchers from the Jacksonville Children’s Commission, the Early Learning Coalition of Duval, Episcopal Children’s Services, and the Success by Six Program. The Oaks ELA provides a safe and nurturing program that also promotes early learning and child development. The Oaks ELA is a licensed child care facility that has voluntarily met higher standards of quality, by being one of the few programs in the North Florida area accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children & rated a 5-star program by the Guiding Stars of Duval.
