EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE

JACKSONVILLE HOUSING AUTHORITY

ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2023 AT 8:30 AM

 

The Board of Commissioners will meet IN PERSON at

1300 North Broad Street, Jacksonville, Florida.

Notice is hereby given that the Jacksonville Housing Authority (JHA) Board of Commissioners Board Meeting will hold an Emergency Meeting in person on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 8:30 a.m. at its administrative office located at 1300 N. Broad Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32202. The purpose of the emergency meeting is for the Board of Commissioners to discuss and take any appropriate actions as may be deemed necessary by the Board regarding the City of Jacksonville, Office of Inspector General investigations of JHA and related personnel matters.  The public is invited to attend this meeting and speak during the public forum.

Interested persons who cannot attend this JHA Board of Commissioners Emergency Meeting but who wish to submit public comments to be read during the appropriate public comment portion of the Meeting, regarding any matter on the Meeting's Agenda for consideration at the Meeting, may do so by emailing Linda Sims at lsims@jaxha.org until 8:00 a.m. on the day of the Meeting.

Anyone wishing to appeal an official decision made on any subject at the Meeting must have a verbatim record of the meeting that includes the testimony and evidence on which the appeal is based.

**The Board may not discuss the contents/substance of the ongoing OIG JHA investigation at a public meeting until the OIG publishes the investigation report.  Pursuant to Florida law, public comment must be taken prior to any Board action.
