Jacksonville Housing Interim CEO Named to National Board

JACKSONVILLE (July 21, 2020) - Dwayne Alexander, interim president and CEO of Jacksonville Housing, has been elected to a two-year term on the National Leased Housing Association's board of directors by NHLA members.

The National Leased Housing Association is a national organization representing all major participants - private and public - in the affordable multifamily rental housing industry. Its members include developers, attorneys, local governments, state housing finance agencies, lenders, owners and managers, nonprofit sponsors, investment bankers, syndicators, and other public housing authorities like JH, all of whom have an interest in the provision and maintenance of quality affordable rental housing for low and moderate income Americans.

"I am honored to be elected by my colleagues at the National Leased Housing Association. This is an opportunity to elevate the lessons we have learned at Jacksonville Housing on how to assist people with their housing needs, helping them achieve self-sufficiency and homeownership, while bringing back best practices from our counterparts across the country," said Alexander. "I look forward to serving in this role and contributing to NHLA's leadership as they guide national housing policy and funding decisions before Congress, Treasury, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development."
